Travel Funding

URSA/WAISC student travel grant

Organizers invite submission of travel grant applications from undergraduate students at the University of Alaska Fairbanks to attend the conference. Applications are due March 1, 2015. Please see the instruction and application form [Word document].

Participant travel funding from EPSCoR

Since the first WAISC in 2008, Alaska EPSCoR has provided individual grants to offset the cost of participant travel. Grants of up to $1,500 are available for the 2015 conference. Grantees will be selected from the applicant pool by a panel consisting of conference organizers, faculty and staff from UAF Rural Campuses, and the Alaska EPSCoR Outreach Manager. The number and amount of individual awards will be left to the discretion of the committee.

If you need travel assistance to present at the 2015 WAISC, please fill out the Travel Funding Application [Word document] and Travel Application Budget [Excel document] and email them to taborland@alaska.edu. Applications are due by March 6, 2015. Participants selected for travel funding will be required to provide additional information prior to making any travel arrangements.
