This 2.5 day class consists of lecture, lab activities, and demonstration-based training. It is made up of three parts: participants learn engine and operational theory on the evening of the first day, perform basic component tests and procedures during lab activities on the second day, and finish with a demonstration on proper maintenance procedures and an activity on diagnosis on the last day. The class is jointly offered by Alaska Sea Grant.
