Venue and hotels
All meeting sessions will be held at the Hotel Captain Cook in downtown Anchorage. The Hotel Captain Cook offers pleasant accommodations with high speed complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel. Guest amenities include a café, bistro, restaurants, business center, fitness room, and swimming pool. Most guest rooms have great views of mountains or Cook Inlet.
Guest rooms at the Hotel Captain Cook will be available at the special meeting rate of $160/night, and at the Voyager Inn across the street at $140/night, single or double occupancy plus 12% tax. Hotel Captain Cook amenities will be extended to Voyager Inn guests. Rates extend three days prior to and three days after the meeting dates. To secure the rates, register online and use the group code AKSEA15 (Cook) or WAKEFIELD (Voyager). Or call the Hotel Captain Cook reservation number (1-907-276-6000) or Voyager Inn (1-907-277-9501), and mention the Alaska Sea Grant group and the dates of the meeting, May 12-15, 2015. To secure the lower rates, be sure to make your reservations a month ahead, by April 12.
