Description
The authors measured the reproductive consequences of multiparous bairdi Tanner crab females that have access to small mature males and males with only one claw. They conclude that the existing size limit for the North Pacific fishery allows males a chance to breed with both primiparous and multiparous females before reaching legal size. Crabs were sampled near Kodiak, Alaska. Journal of Crustacean Biology 16(2):295–299, 1996.
