The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant economic disruptions, including within the seafood industry. Whether the cause is direct (i.e., sickness) or indirect (e.g., restricted activity or travel bans), profitability of individual harvesting and aquaculture businesses will likely be affected.
State and federal aid programs are available to mitigate these effects on businesses. This document provides an overview of programs, eligibility, and contact information for fishing business owners, crew members, small processors, and growers.
