Boatkeeper Series
by Terry Johnson

The increasing complexity of modern fishing vessels and their equipment makes it difficult to keep up on the details of maintenance and operation. Terry Johnson, Marine Recreation and Tourism Specialist with the Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program, offers suggestions in this series of articles. Johnson has owned and operated fishing boats in Alaska for many years, and currently charters his 50-foot motor yacht in western Alaska. The articles below, in PDF format, are courtesy of Pacific Fishing Magazine. The entire Boatkeeper series is also available for download in PDF format, publication number MAB-52.
