Alaska Sea Grant Initiatives - Crab program gets new name

The program recently changed its name. It's now called the Alaska King Crab Research, Rehabilitation and Biology program, or AKCRRAB. Scientists and managers of the program say the name better reflects the breadth of research being done. The program was formerly called the Alaska King Crab Research and Rehabilitation Program.

Alaska Sea Grant is part of the School of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and part of the National Sea Grant Program, a division of NOAA. The University of Alaska Fairbanks is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and educational institution.
