"Alaska is a wonderful place." That's the mantra conveyed through music by John "Johnny B" Bushell, a superb and thoroughly engaging pianist who will both inform and entertain us throughout the week.

Johnny will begin by warming us up for the week Tuesday evening with his fine mood-setting piano music at the cocktail reception in the beautiful mountaintop Glacier Express. Afterward we will all move down to the hotel proper where Johnny will dazzle us with an original composition piano show, "Rhythms of Wild Alaska," which showcases his original compositions set to a lyrical video of Alaska wildlife and wildlands, recorded by one of Alaska's best videographers.

Wednesday evening with our meeting in full swing, Johnny B will really kick out the jambs and blast through a nonstop half hour of his signature piano-pounding boogie woogie piano stylings, amping up our hump-day energy level for the comedy showcase to follow by Fairbanks comic Glen Anderson.

But wait, there's more! Thursday night, Johnny will keep the fun quotient level at "Full Tilt Boogie" when he emcees the Sea Grant Talent Show and performance by the Not So Muddy Waters Sea Grant Blues Band, immediately following the awards banquet.

Check out Johnny B's website for an array of information about this iconic Alaska entertainer—who includes among his many career credits the piano-playing partner with Tom Bodett on National Public Radio's and sponsor Motel 6's "We'll leave the light on for ya," End of The Road radio show.
