Fishermen and communities in Alaska are exploring ways to increase the value from the fish they harvest. Some communities are considering building public cold storage facilities to help take advantage of emerging opportunities in this highly competitive industry. This workshop was aimed at helping community leaders, engineers, seafood processors and fishermen analyze whether a public cold storage facility makes economic sense for their region.
