A Workshop on Marine Invasive Species Monitoring in Alaska using citizen science sponsored by the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center and the University of Alaska, will be held in Ketchikan July 7th, and 8th 2012. The workshop is designed to give instruction on techniques and methods of monitoring for marine invasive species to those already involved or wanting to be involved in the monitoring. Workshop runs Saturday July 7th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a boat trip from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Sunday, the workshop begins at 9:00 am and wraps up at 12:00 pm.
