Local Weather Knowledge and Reading Maps and Charts: A Two-Part Program

Tuesday evening: “Reading the Weather”. A panel of 3 to 5 local and regional experts will share the knowledge they’ve gleaned through personal observation and forecasting through the years to help people better understand the unique weather conditions we have in and around PWS.
Wednesday evening”: “No GPS Signal…Now what?” This evening’s guests will focus on current maps and charts for the Sound with observations from local fishermen, pilots and U.S. Coast Guard personnel. Presenters will share what has worked for them through the years when dealing with unique tides, changing sand bars and other not so obvious hazards in and around PWS. Both sessions will include a brief presentation followed by a question and answer session with the audience.
