Maintain and strengthen connections among West Coast fisheries extension agents and researchers
Identify opportunities for cooperative work among agents
Skills building in multi-user issue negotiation taught by Laura Taylor Singer of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute
Share perspectives on fishery management/clientele extension methods and issues


Cost: $275/person to cover meeting expenses including all but one meal

Lodging - A block of rooms have been reserved at the Tides Inn (800-665-8433) for $100-$110/night

IMPORTANT: Summer air travel in Alaska is very, very busy and is limited to two flights a day on Alaska Airlines. MAKE RESERVATIONS VERY EARLY (by mid-April) to get the flights listed on the agenda.


Petersburg is located on Mitkof Island in Southeast Alaska. It is a small fishing community with plenty of outdoor activities available, including sportfishing for coho salmon and halibut, viewing the Leconte Glacier, whalewatching in Frederick Sound, and sea kayaking in protected area waters.
