On-Board Quality Handling
Get dialed in on quality before the season. Join us for an update and discussion of what’s going on with salmon quality innovations around the state. Invited speakers include Mark Buckley Digital Observer, Inc. Mark will share video footage of on-board fish handling practices around the state and review his bacteria loading research on fresh fish from point-of-capture through the distribution chain. Dave Loutrel Wild Salmon Direct will relay his experiences and vision direct marketing seine caught live-held pinks and reds out of Kodiak. New state vessel loans available for quality improvements will be reviewed by Lujean Fedotov Division of Investments Lending Supervisor. CDFU’s marketing tagging project update will be given by Rochelle van den Broek.
