Movements of Spawning Cutthroat Trout on a Copper River Delta Tributary

Nov. 28th at 7:00 PM
By Brian Marston, Alaska Department of Fish and Game

Meet at the Forest Service conference room upstairs.

Brian Marston will be highlighting his recent studies into coastal cutthroat trout movements which were tracked by implanting radio transmitters into mature fish as they ascended a stream near the mouth of the Copper River during the spring spawning season. Initial observations occurred in spring-summer 2004. In 2005 one tributary was chosen to examine spawning movements in relation to potential resource developments. This program will focus on what was learned through this study.
