There are many tools that the Department uses to understand the strength of the wild stock and hatchery returns, evaluate escapement levels, and monitor the commercial purse seine fishery. From the Southwestern District test fishery to aerial survey and more, you’ll learn about one of Alaska’s largest and most dynamic commercial fisheries.
