By Allen Marquette, PWSSC

Meet at the Forest Service conference room upstairs.

Last February, Allen Marquette participated in an advanced observation program at the Kitt Peak National Observatory, in Tucson, Arizona.  He spent an entire night with an astronomer using a 20 inch reflecting telescope and a 6 inch refracting telescope, capturing Saturn, Jupiter the moon and several deep space objects as movies and digital images.  This program will show the short movies, images and some of the technology, equipment and software used to capture and process these beautiful images.
