Description
Walleye pollock are a major link in the food web, and fishery oceanographers are trying to understand its recruitment processes. During this study low prey abundance limited larval growth in spring and summer, and the late hatching cohorts had the best feeding conditions in the bay. This demonstrates the survival value of extended spawning in walleye pollock. Fishery Research Bulletin 4(1):54-61, 1997.
