Multiple Criterion Management of a Sequential Fishery

Add to cart

Description

The authors applied a multiple-criterion management model to the Yukon River chum salmon fishery in Alaska. The results indicate that escapement goals and subsistence harvest goals in the middle Yukon can only be met by restricting commercial harvests in the Lower Yukon. Also, reduced interceptions of chums in the ocean would not increase the probability of satisfying catch and escapement goals for the middle and upper Yukon. Annals of Operations Research 94:259-273.
