Fishermen are shown good practices—how to handle fish gently, bleed them, and ice immediately, to prevent bruising, gaping, scale loss, and bacterial spoilage. Skiff management includes keeping a clean boat, having an adequate holding area, and sanitizing after delivery to the processor. The DVD was filmed in Quinhagak and in lower Yukon/Kuskokwim areas, and is narrated by Carl Jack. Directed by Deborah Mercy.
