Boatkeeper

Boatkeeper Series

by Terry Johnson boatkeeper picture

The increasing complexity of modern fishing vessels and their equipment makes it difficult to keep up on the details of maintenance and operation. Terry Johnson, Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory agent in Homer, offers suggestions in this series called Boatkeeper. Johnson has owned and operated fishing boats in Alaska for 15 years, and currently charters his 50-foot motor yacht in western Alaska. The articles below, in PDF format, are courtesy of Pacific Fishing Magazine. The Boatkeeper series is also available in paper copy for $5.00, pub number MAB-52.
